“Wonderful experience! A guide picked us up on the European side, took us through the metro (at no charge) to the art studio, and a wonderful instructor taught us how to make our lamps. We got small cookies and tea while we created and then after our globes dried, the instructor packed them up for us with a lamp base, lightbulb and USA compatible plug. This was an experience that was over the top and far exceeded my expectation!”

“It was a cozy, surprisingly fun break from typical sightseeing. The instructor, Ilham, guided us step by step as we chose our colors and tried the basic tufting techniques. It was fun to laugh over our first crooked rows, and by the end we had small pieces that actually felt like real souvenirs we had made together. Overall, it was calm, intimate, and creative and one of those activities that makes you feel more connected to each other and to the local culture at the same time. If we are ever back in Istanbul, we will be sure to come back and try our luck with some more intricate designs.”

“Did this with my teen daughter and rescheduled at the last minute. That would explain why poor Elmaq was working 3 classes by himself, but still managed to guide us. We made a big error in our perfuming calculations, but he kindly helped us fix it and for only a minor upcharge, which resulted in a lot more perfume for us. Not going to cry about that! I’d do this again and check out their other on site classes with really great photo opps for their tea ceremonies. It’s a fun place and activities that leave some great memories. I can’t wash these scents off me because they’re strong, but…”
